A South Carolina man has been sentenced to three years in prison after he threw a puppy off a balcony.

“You mean he threw a helpless animal off three floors because he was mad at someone?” Circuit Judge Edward Cottingham asked when he sentenced Javon Patrick Morris to three years in prison and two years probation.

Yup, you read that right. This jackass threw a puppy out the window, three storeys to its death because he got into an argument with his girlfriend.

The dog was a yorkiepoo, a cross between a yorkshire terrier and a poodle. You don’t even need a picture to know it’s a cute dog.

But here’s one anyway:

Oh and the kicker? The judge has owned nine dogs. Still surprised he got three years?
