I know they’re free, but the stuff the RSU gives out is garbage.

One example is the free Nalgene-like water bottle I received back in November at some anti-plastic-water-bottle event. I used it for the first time yesterday, and I can’t say if I’ll ever use it again.

The bottle is green and has a lid attached to the top, like any other water bottle. The only problem is that the heavy lid throws the bottle off balance when almost, or completely empty. So when I was about to refill it on the counter, it tips over, rolls across the counter-top and falls to the ground.

Next, the spout is too wide. So what happens is that you end up spilling water all over your face if you’re trying to take a swig in a rush.

So much for our beloved students’ union trying to raise awareness with freebies. This bottle is staying tucked away.

My RyeSAC shirt from first year still makes a great gym shirt, however.
